Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum (guided visit)

As a civic museum, the Suermondt-Ludwig Museum stands for art from antiquity to classical modernism. By now, the collection includes 900 sculptures, 1500 paintings and more than 10,000 graphic sheets in addition to numerous arts and crafts objects. After almost two years of closure for renewal of the air-conditioning system, the walls are now freshly painted and the works of renowned artists such as Rembrandt, Dürer, Cranach, Zurbarán, Liebermann or Macke are presented in a new exciting arrangement, in keeping with the guiding principle of our "Chamber of Civil Art".
